- I grew up in Wichita, KS, my dad is a pediatrician and my mom is a nurse. They run a private practice together.
- I attended Wash U in St. Louis for two years, then moved to Seattle to be with my then-boyfriend.
- We broke up a year later, but I stayed in Seattle and transferred to UW anyway.
- My best friend and I have had brunch every Sunday for a year and a half.
- I used to be an Orthodox Jew.
- My dad is from India, that’s where I get my cool last name.
- My dog has a habit of eating things he’s not supposed to, exacerbated by the fact that he can open the refrigerator. Really!
- I think Jay Hathaway is hilarious and often quote him here.
- I used to own two dwarf house rabbits, named Franny and Zooey.
- Last book I read: All the Sad Young Literary Men by Keith Gessen.
- Next Wednesday I am flying to Copenhagen to spend two weeks traveling Denmark, Sweden, and France. Alone. Do you want to come?
- I like it when people friend me on Facebook.

- I eat gummy bears in pairs. I think they taste better that way.
- I have a weird inexplicable obsession with Swedish pop music, including Bonne Idée, Bye Bye Bicycle, Jens Lekman, Joel Alme, Loney Dear, Lykke Li, Mockingbird Wish Me Luck, Ossian Ekenger, Peter Bjorn & John, and Those Dancing Days. I’m even taking Swedish classes so I can run away and marry Jens Lekman. Talar du svenska? Jag talar något litet. Jag studerar dagligen!
